Founded in the 1860s, Apex is rich in history and today is one of the fastest-growing communities in the country. A quick 8-minute walk up the block will bring you right to downtown apex where you will find vibrant restaurants, aesthetic shops, and a beautiful community that you can call family. There are also tons of events annually that you can enjoy including the Peak City Pig Fest, Christmas on Salem Street and so many more!
Nature
There are so many places in Apex where you can be one with nature. Dozens of parks, nature trails, greenways, etc. are located all around town and in surrounding areas like Cary and Raleigh to enjoy. A couple of popular ones include the Apex Community Park(featured to the left), Kelley Road Park, Apex Nature Park, and the Hemlock Bluffs Nature Reserve.
Shopping
Shopping is always a convenience in Apex. There are multiple shopping centers located just minutes from Edwards Pond including Beaver Creek Common, Waverly Place (featured to the left), and Macgregor Village. There are also two malls less than a 25-minute drive from the neighborhood, Southpoint Mall in Durham and Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh.
Relaxation
Jordan lake is a short 15 minutes away from Edwards Pond. Enjoy the beauty of the water for a day trip to one of the many public beaches located around the lake or spend a weekend camping at one of the campgrounds located on Jordan Lake. The lake is a perfect way to relax after a long week and an easy way to unwind and enjoy nature in Apex.
